My favorite is the pink fair isle (639)- it would make such cute longies for my little ones. I rarely find girly colors at my local thrift store...
ReplyDelete...and I follow your blog via google reader.
ReplyDeleteSomething green and new-to-me: I'm making reusable produce bags today to use instead of those plastic ones that stores have.
ReplyDeleteI like the Soft yellow merino blend froggable sweater (674). I think I'd need to add a zipper and some cute flowers on the pockets.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower.
ReplyDeleteI like 670- the big purple sweater!
ReplyDeleteAlready a follower!
ReplyDeleteI got a t shirt out of the goodwill bin to make a skirt. Why have I not done this before?!?! So cute.
ReplyDeleteI like #615--plum colored merino. Thanks for the giveaway to honor Earth Day!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteTo do something else for Earth Day (and to reciprocate for when you featured me!), I'd like to include your shop and blog in a newsletter I'm doing to encourage others to use pre-owned clothes.
ReplyDeleteWould it be accurate to say that many of your sweaters would be fine to wear just as they are, without upcycling?

I am always checking out the local thrift stores for great sweaters to frog or wear myself. Cotton sweaters are wonderful to frog for dishcloths, coasters, hot pads and bath mats.
ReplyDeleteThanks,

ReplyDeleteI am going to get out some cloth napkins I have in my linen closet - time to start using them and get rid of the paper. What am I saving them for??
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your generosity! I am a girly-girl (much to my macho husband's chagrin), and my favorites are # 508 and 669. May Jesus repay your kindnesses!
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog for a few months now, and have learned a lot. Thank you for your teaching us! My email is yellowdaisyfriend@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteFor a green idea, I got a blouse and skirt set from the thrift store, thinking the fabric was so pretty, even though the style was not. I ended up deciding to make a travel set with them. I made a drawstring laundry bag by sewing up the bottom of the skirt, and making 2 slits in the outer side of the waistband, on either side of the zipper, and threading a drawstring through it. Then I cut up the blouse, and used pieces of the bodice and sleeves for a small tote bag with same fabric handles and a velcro closure to carry toiletries in, and a little cosmetic case for small items. Then with the tiny pieces left, I sewed a little purse for a friend's grandaughter. Its great to start the creative juices flowing, have fun making things, and reuse things not really usable.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!!!My fav sweater is the soft pink lambswool fair isle sweater.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog :o)
ReplyDeleteA new green thing for me: I just made reusable produce bags so we don't use the plstic ones at the store. It was another first that it was also my first tutotrial n my blog.

ReplyDeleteand 667 - with rhinestones

Something new and green, hmmm. I am growing an indoor plant with my black thumb. I watered it today and am proud to say that it is still alive after a month. That's a big step. It's a jade from my friend.
ReplyDeleteblogged!
ReplyDeleteHappy Earth Day. What a fine giveaway. My favorite sweater is the purple cobalt blue cardigan with the bright yellow trim. I've been making mittens this winter with one of my friends. We had a real "Factory" going for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI love the [676] Soft patterned wool sweater. =)
ReplyDeleteI'm also a blog follower!
ReplyDeleteThe chocolate merino wool sweater (680) is one that I would like to wear "as is" or, depending on the size, turn into a cardigan of some sort.
ReplyDeleteI am a loyal follower!
ReplyDeleteI tried a new Earth Day project with my students today. They had never heard of the idea, and loved it. I am excited to hear their stories about giving the May Day baskets away... Check out the details: http://mamatave.blogspot.com/2010/04/earth-day-may-day-baskets.html
ReplyDeleteHere's my green thing of the day for yesterday. I actually got out of my car at a stop light and picked up a large piece of newspaper that was blowing across the road. Then I brought it home and recycled it! :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the pink #669 - as I am collecting purples, royal blues and pinks. However, I have no pinks yet! Thanks for a fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would love the two wool skirts that you have listed there - I'd dye the wool and use it in one of my hooked rugs - YUM!

ReplyDeleteI am now an official follower, as opposed to a pop in when I think of it kind of follower.
