Resweater giveaway!!!!

I feel bad that i've been neglecting my blog, especially with all the new readers :( I have been preparing for the Fiber In The Park show next weekend, so I haven't been posting any new tutorials. I promise i'll get something up after the show. Until then, so you don't get bored ;), i'll have a giveaway for any 1 sweater from my shop (or even in my inventory, if you have a specific color in mind that I don't have listed). Even the cashmere is included!

Ready for the details?

Mandatory Entry:
* Tell me what you make from recycled wool, or what you plan to make if you don't already use recycled wool.
Want extra entries?
* Follow my blog, and if you already do just say that.
* Blog about this giveaway & link to it.

Make sure to leave a separate comment for the entries you complete!

Deadline: Friday, September 17th at midnight, Central time zone. I will use random.org to pick the winners the following morning (September 18th). **please leave an email if your blogger profile does not include it or you don't have a blog. I need a way to contact you.** Once a winner is drawn I will contact them and the winner will have 48 hours to reply back before I draw a new winner.

Good luck!

  1. I love Sweater GiveAway on Resweater!

I use recycled sweaters to make all kinds of things for my shop, www.redress.com (I have a new name...used to be Blue Kimono Studio).

This summer I started using recycled wool for three-ply potholders that are great for practicality and cuteness. I also love refashioning sweaters into something new, and making scarves and armwarmers.

I'll tweet about you, too! Thanks....

  12. Ack! I put the wrong address down for my business. It's www.redress.co--not COM. I'm still not used to using "CO." Thanks for the heads-up, Kristen.

This is still a link to my Etsy shop, which I'm operating under a new banner.

I'd love to learn to make soakers for babies! p.s. I do follow your blog, K!

  28. Hello! Your blog has inspired me to recycle sweaters. I use them for diaper covers and I made a couple of the wool baskets that you posted a tutorial for quite a while ago. I'm currently thinking about making felted wool booties or slippers for the upcoming winter. They will also make a nice warm bed for my basset hounds.

Mostly baby diaper covers, actually. I really like to felt up my scraps into strange shapes with felting needles. I've made baby shoes (warm & toasty toes), a little purse, and dryer balls.

Some of the ones I've bought from you I just wear. ;) If you lived closer & we were good friends, I'd come try on sweaters every Sunday.

  47. I have an ugly sweater from Goodwill that, so far, I've turned in to coasters, a wine carrier, and part of my portfolio.
I also have a sweater of my mother's that she loves, but doesn't like how warm she gets. It'll soon be a nice handbag for her. She can never have too many purses.

  48. I use sweaters and turn them into felt to make garlands! see them here: www.lovefromchloe.etsy.com

  56. Great, another giveaway! Last time I bought sweaters from you, I just needed them to wear them very desperately. If I would repurpose sweaters, I would go for the yoga shorts you have a tutorial for (June 6th)- I wonder if you could make them as long trousers as well and make unzippable legs? I´m not sure if one would need 2 or three cashmere for that...

    Regards,
    Viola.

  57. I use recycled sweaters for cloth diaper covers, I've made smaller sweaters for my daughters, and the last time I made something it was big thick socks from a felted sweater for my hubby when he hunts (he couldn't show that he was too excited, but I could see the look!) I'm starting to make some longies for baby girl #3 due late December!

  61. My daugters (11 and 8)and I are very excited about working with recycled sweaters. They are both huge fiber artists already working with knitting, crocheting and weaving. But we are new to working with upcycling sweaters. We stumbled upon the idea while on a quest for recycled fibers for weaving. We are planning on making some slippers (for ourselves) and Christmas stockings to fill with some home-canned goodies to give as Christmas gifts.
