It's Tutorial Tuesday! Make an adorable Easter finger puppet!

I found this tutorial from Molly at The Purl Bee. Aren't they just too cute?! While her tutorial calls for craft felt, I used recycled wool felt (felted wool sweaters). If you use recycled wool, I found that merino sweaters worked best for this project, but any thin to medium thickness felted wool should do. The turquoise one is felted cashmere. The only change I made, was that the tutorial called for yarn, to make a pom pom tail, but I didn't have any on hand. I just made 2 circles with pinking shears, and sewed that on instead. I like it just as much.

They are so cute, and so fun to make! I plan to leave them out with our wool eggs, so the Easter Bunny can put treats in them.

My son requested an orange & red one...

Feature Friday - Love, Rosie

If I had a baby, my bank account would be empty after finding this shop ;) . Love, Rosie's Etsy shop carries the most adorable hats! These recycled wool & cashmere hats would be the hit at any baby shower. Paired with a sleeper in a matching color, they would make an adorable Halloween costume too! More diaper cover action shots!

A friend of mine let me use her adorable baby to model some of my diaper covers. She is a "size small" baby, so some of the medium size stuff we put on her is a little big, but still cute!

I love how my pumpkin pants turned out! These are a bit big on my model here, but with the adjustable rise and rollable cuffs, will fit for a long time!

Pincushions or art?

I love these critters from Etsy shop Lucyslockets. Her animals are made from recycled sweaters (some of them from my shop!), and other upcycled materials, and are just so cute that I can't stop browsing her shop. Her animals are so realistic that I half expect them to start running around at any moment! Not only are they cute, but functional. You will always know where your pins are with one of her critters... unless they are off looking for nuts, or nibbling on some grass. I am in awe of her talent, and shocked at her low prices! Each one of these original, hand stitched, eco friendly, adorable, and useful critters is under $20. I'll be ordering one myself!
