Recycled wool quilt week - Snug as a Bug
Lisa is no stranger to recycled wool quilts! Not only does she sell them on her website, but she has a booth at her farmer's market, are sold in several stores in the Vermont area, and was even featured on the news! These beautiful heirloom quilts are backed with warm flannel, and come ready for snuggling! For more fabulous recycled wool goods, like pillows, ponchos, and hats, make sure to check out her site. I'm excited to be getting one of her ponchos myself!

Recycled wool quilt week - Vermont Balsam
At Vtbalsam.com you can find recycled wool quilts for not only people, but kitties too! Her little kitty quilts, Catnip Nappers, have batting & catnip inside to ensure it will be the comfiest place in the house to... well... catnap.
Her people quilts don't have any treats sewn inside, but i'm sure the recycled wool with flannel backing is heavenly to snuggle under!
I highly recommend clicking on the pictures to enlarge them. The different textures are fabulous!

Artfire anyone?
For those of you who have been thinking about joining Artfire, or have the free Artfire accounts and were thinking of upgrading.... HURRY! Out of the 5000 verified accounts at a discounted $7/month for life, there are only 31 left at this moment! All that sign up after those are gone will pay $20 a month for life. I personally love Artfire, and $7/month is a bargain for me, since it would cost me 10 times that in fees each month had I stayed with Etsy.
Just lettin' ya know!
ETA: All of the $7/month for life accounts are gone, but curiously enough, they are still at a reduced price of $12/month. Maybe they are waiting until they are out of beta to go to full price. Interesting.

I adore these feminine cashmere & wool flowers from The June Bride's Etsy shop. They were even featured in Cookie magazine! Why would anyone wear a real flower?

Sweater Saturday AND Sunday!
Hi. I'm Kris, and I have a wool problem.
* Hi Kris! *
I went sweatering both days this weekend! As usual I got some great stuff :)
Here's the cashmere haul... maroon, red, grape, baby blue, maroon/black patterned, and 3 cream (already reserved!).
My faves? These stripey ones, a pale yellow poncho, and a thick maroon/black patterned cashmere.
As always, just click on any of the pictures to them enlarged :)
Happy Sunday all!
